Collection of legal documents from Adams County includes summons; indentures; indictments; abstracts of votes; poll books; various court records; appraisals of estates of Curtiss Cannon, William Criswell, David Newman, Milbourn Coe and Daniel Henderson; and a financial account of Charles Wells with his guardian, John Page. Many of the documents are created or signed by clerks Joseph Darlinton and G.W. Gordon and by justice of the peace David W. Murphy.
